The list below can guide you to offices and other activities of interest to students that are led by Provost Office staff directly or by staff in units that report to the Office of the Provost.

Office of Financial Aid

The Office is responsible for processing all undergraduate financial aid, as well as work-study and loans for graduate students. The team assists students in exploring aid options and managing their financial aid awards.

Student Emergency Funds

Sources of funding for students experiencing an emergency situation or one-time, unusual, unforeseen expense while in school.

Office of the Registrar

The Registrar’s Office team manages student enrollment and class registration, student personal and academic records, tuition and university housing billing, the official academic calendar, diploma and transcript orders, among other responsibilities.

Office of New Student Programs

The Office of New Student Programs supports the continuous process of integrating and supporting students into the academic, cultural and social aspects of the University of Michigan. Programs include Orientation, University Mentorship for first-years, and the Transfer Connections mentoring program for transfer students.

Office of Academic and Multicultural Initiatives (OAMI)

OAMI offers students resources, opportunities and experiences that enrich their academic, social, cultural, and personal development at the University of Michigan. OAMI oversees the MLK Symposium,  First Gen Gateway, SuccessConnects, support for undocumented students, the Men of Color Leading in the Classroom (M-Clic) and SAMI funding.

Office of Undergraduate Admissions

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions introduces prospective students to the university through campus visits and events. The team guides students through the admissions process, managing application review, admittance and encouraging enrollment of students who are academically excellent, accomplished in extracurricular endeavors, and come from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Veterans & Military Services

One-stop web guide to students who are veterans, currently servicing in the military, or family members of current servicemembers and veterans.

Student Outreach on Budgetary Matters

The Office of the Provost meets with student organizations periodically to discuss the budget process and gather student input on budget priorities. A student budget advisory committee has also been convened from time to time to discuss budget priorities.
