facilities maintenance and upkeep

Overview

The Facilities Maintenance and Upkeep project seeks to examine our investment in sustaining our current facilities. Specifically, it will identify if our current deferred and preventive maintenance models are cost-effective and if we are investing appropriately in the life of our buildings to support our institutional mission and needs now and in the future. Potential changes may occur in facility maintenance incentives, processes, or investment levels.

Scope

This project affects General Fund academic and administrative units on the Ann Arbor campus.

Goals

The primary goals of the Facilities Maintenance and Upkeep project are to have a model that ensures more cost-effective upkeep of facilities over the life of our buildings.
