Capital Project Guidelines

Overview

The Capital Project Guidelines provide detailed information on process of preparing and submitting a capital project request to the Office of the Provost.  The goal of the process is to ensure that requests are based on careful analysis of a unit's academic or administrative needs. The guidelines include a detailed description of the information required, deadline for submission, evaluation criteria used by the Office of the Provost and the Capital Projects Committee, and what to expect after a request has been submitted.

The guidelines will help units work through the capital projects request process and:

The guidelines apply to General Fund academic and administrative units on the Ann Arbor campus only.  They do not apply to auxiliary units (e.g., Housing, Athletics, Unions, Utilities, Parking), the U-M Health Systems (i.e., U-M Hospitals, Health Centers), or the Dearborn or Flint campuses.
