| FOR STUDENTS FOR FACULTY AVAILABLE SCHOLARSHIPS NOMINEES AND RECIPIENTS FAQ INFORMATION CALENDAR |
ABOUT BRITISH SCHOLARSHIPSThis website provides a guide for students and faculty about some highly selective and distinguished scholarship programs available to University of Michigan students regardless of their school or college affiliation. The Provost’s Council on Student Honors oversees many of these scholarship competitions and they coordinate the selection of students for university endorsement. Please take a look at the scholarship opportunities on this site. Consider which ones may be a good fit for you. The Rhodes and Marshall Scholarships provide funding for two or three years of graduate study in Great Britain. Rhodes Scholarships are used in any program available at Oxford; Marshall Scholars can choose from a large number of universities and programs in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. The George Mitchell Scholarship Program provides for one year of graduate work in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland. To be eligible for any of these three programs, you must hold an undergraduate degree by the fall in which the scholarship begins. Age and citizenship criteria can be found on the specific scholarship’s website. |
