Ken Kohrs’s career spanned 37 years with Ford Motor Company in Product Development and related businesses. With a BSME from University of Illinois and an MSME from U-M, Ken served in multiple truck and car engineering management roles, led Product Development in Europe for seven years, and completed his tenure as a Corporate Vice President for the large and luxury car business. Following his retirement in 1999, he served four years as Industry Co-Director for the U-M Tauber Manufacturing Institute. In 2004, he accepted the Provost’s challenge to lead the sustainability study funded by Don Graham with the goal of U-M leadership in the environmental sustainability field. Photo by Brian Talbot. |
