21.F Banks and Credit UnionsAnn Arbor is home to numerous banks and credit unions. Each year, the U-M Treasurer’s Office conducts a survey of financial institutions and then compiles a chart that compares services and fees, which is available on the Campus Information Centers website. <www.umich.edu/~info/inside.html?http://www.umich.edu/~info/bank.html> The University has established a partnership with TCF Bank through the Mcard Program that offers a unique set of benefits to all Mcard holders. The University of Michigan Credit Union (UMCU) and the MidWest Financial Credit Union (MWFCU) are non-profit cooperatives serving only their memberships. Membership in the UMCU is open to active and retired employees, students, and alumni of the University and their immediate families, and to numerous other membership groups, see <http://www.umcu.org/membership/join/index.html>. Membership in the MWFCU is open to active and retired employees in health care occupations and their immediate families, and employees of any company within a 25-mile radius of the MWFCU office, including the University of Michigan Health System and the University Health Service, see <https://www.mwfcu.org/join/jomem.php>.
