14.L Worker’s Compensation
The University provides Worker’s Compensation benefits for all
faculty members who sustain a work-related injury or illness in the
course of employment. Benefits are administered by the University’s
Risk Management Office in accordance with Michigan State law. Benefits
can include medical costs (such as first aid medical care) and, when
appropriate, a percentage of salary. All claims are administered by
the Risk Management Office (764-2200, or <www.umich.edu/~riskmgmt/>).
