Student Outcomes

The University of Michigan conducts regular surveys of its student body, both internally and in collaboration with wider studies of higher education outcomes. These surveys include the recent 2008 Graduating Senior Survey. Through the results of these surveys, U-M is constantly seeking to improve the experience of students during their time in Ann Arbor, and their subsequent outcomes.

Other Outcomes

Class of 2007

Of those students who graduated in April 2007, 92% were either engaged in further study or were employed by Fall 2007:

32% were enrolled in a further degree program
60% were full- or part-time employees

Concerning application to professional graduate programs:

82% of applicants were admitted to Law School (Nat. average 66%)
53% of applicants were admitted to Medical School (Nat. average 46%)

For the class of 2008, average scores achieved by U-M undergraduates on the main graduate entrance tests are as follows:
