Glenda Haskell
Assistant Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs
After eight years in the Office of the Provost from 1988 to 1996,
Glenda Haskell returned to the Office when she was appointed as Assistant
Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs in the fall of 2002.
Primary
responsibilities:
- Develops and reviews policies and procedures on behalf of
the Provost and Associate Provost, and coordinates implementation
- Represents the Provost’s Office
on the Provost’s
Advisory Committee on Faculty Mentoring and Community Building
- Collaborates with the Faculty Ombuds and the Faculty Senate
Office on a development program for the school and college

- Collaborates on Faculty Handbook updates
- Supports academic dual career partners of tenure track or
tenured faculty members and shares coordination of the Dual
Career Program
- Member, Civil Liberties Board
- Liaison, Council on Institutional Cooperation (CIC) Academic
Leadership Program
- Liaison, CIC Accreditation
Network
Ms. Haskell earned a B.A. in English from Johnson State
College in Vermont and a Master’s degree in Counseling
from the University of Oregon. She joined
the University in
1985.
